A Post-Doctoral Fellow position is available in Dr. Chih-Chi Andrew Hu’s laboratory with a research focus on Immune Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Drug Discovery. This position focuses on the study of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-associated stress signaling molecules and their roles in survival, metastasis and chemoresistance of cancer. A key component of this effort is the identification and development of small molecules and peptides targeting the ER stress response pathways for the treatment of cancer. We are especially interested in candidates who are in the final stage of their doctoral training and have a strong background in protein chemistry (molecular cloning and column chromatography) and in the development of new biochemical assays during doctoral training. Applicants with experience in structural and chemical biology are desirable. Highly motivated applicants should send a cover letter, complete CV, and contact information for three references to the attention of Dr. Chih-Chi Andrew Hu at cahu@houstonmethodist.org.
